The "Raphael of the flowers", one of the best view, a magic duo...

on our front page this week…

Do not miss this particular hotel, Musée de la Vie Romantique where painter Ary Scheffer lived but also the neighbor George Sand who came daily and to whom the ground floor is dedicated. Here one has the feeling that the time is on pause and that it lulls us in a soft carelessness. The permanent exhibition as well as the temporary ones are always beautiful and slightly obsolete with a look always benevolent towards the past which makes it totally modern. We recommend visiting the museum to all those who love the refinement of romanticism, Georges Sand and the green spaces hidden in Paris. The museum devotes an exhibition to the watercolors of Pierre-Joseph Redoute called “the Raphael of the flowers”, a must go as the presentation is extended of almost a month, until October 29, due to the success!

In his pretty shop of the Palais Royal which dates from 1949, Jacques Roussel receives with elegance who shares the same passion. The metal figurines. As we walk through the windows of his boutique Les Drapeaux de France, it is the dreamed story of humanity that rolls by before us: The soldiers of the Napoleon's expedition to Egypt , the Chinese emperors, the knights, the roman centurions etc…

300 steps to climb and you get a unique view of Paris! The Tour Saint-Jacques deserves the effort for the panorama on the capital. The tower is the only vestige of a church destroyed during the French Revolution. Open every year between July and October 29. The Tour Saint-Jacques is far from being the most famous Parisian monument but for us, it is a must visit (reservation needed).

Brigitte Tanaka took over this atypical place of 21 m2 classified historical monument, and made it all its magic! Worn by the duo of French-Japanese designers, the shop takes us to the land of a thousand and one marvels. One finds and is astonished of everything: design, jewelry, ready-to-wear and tableware, along with vintage items that have been reworked by the duo, blue bathrobe to be embroidered of your initials on the spot and to wear the day on a used jeans...
