Discover one of the most beautiful vestiges of the Middle Ages
The turret of the Hotel Herouet Located at the corner of Vieille du Temple and Francs Bourgeois streets, this charming watchtower dates back to the 1510s, the very end of the Middle Ages (or the early years of the Renaissance, according to academic views). Damaged by a bomb on August 25, 1944 and fully restored, it is the last vestige of the mansion built for Jean Herouet, then royal treasurer. It is also one of the only vestiges of this time in Paris!
It is in the heart of the 16th arrondissement, close to the Trocadero, that hides this staircase unparalleled in the capital: the ultra majestic buildings that surrounds it, its lampposts and the sculpture that stands at its feet give a crazy charm at these dozens of steps of the Avenue du Camoens!
A memorable experience with a very reasonable price: Sequana Restaurant
72, quai des Orfèvres - 75001 PARIS - 01 43 29 78 81
We recommend this terrific little restaurant! It is an example of a place you can pass by and not give a second look but this would be a shame. Walk in and enjoy a divine meal with wine to match, served in a very friendly - yet professional - manner, of delicious dishes with many local ingredients, blending exotic ones as well
3 places to listen to music
Le Caveau de la Huchette
An amazing evening, fabulous music along with stunning jazz dancers. But the club is compact so don't go if you are claustrophobic.
5 rue Huchette, 75005 Paris
Le Caveau des Oubliettes
It is small, and getting there early doesn’t guarantee a seat. That withstanding, it is a great place to hang. The music is a fusion of soul meets blues meets Hendrix meets The price is nothing, it’s free to get in. Drinks slightly pricey, but not break the bank. Also, you’re surrounded by friendly people who are happy to talk and hang. Advice: You should eat before or after, because the food is really bad. 52 Rue Galande 75005 Paris
Le Duc des Lombards 42 rue des Lombards, 75001 Paris
On the right bank, this jazz club is probably the most famous (and touristy) of the city but it gets incredible acts and pumps out some of the best jazz and blues in the area!

"Mr.'s Melancholy walk around the Town"
But who is this Mr.? Behind this anonymous title hides a contemporary Japanese artist, trained by Takashi Murakami. It is thanks to him that his notoriety will cross the borders of Japan during his participation in the exhibition "Super Flat" of Murakami, in 2000. After Hong Kong, the artist's creations move to Paris until March 9th. Mr. Colored and Kawaii's universe hides a dark, tense face. As its name suggests, the exhibition "Mr. Melancholy walk around the Town" invites us to stroll canvas to discover characters fragile, child crushed onomatopoeia, surrounded by tags, covered with gaudy colors. As hypnotized, the looks of these characters evoke a certain melancholy that we find in Otaku culture. In the eyes of these geeks, gamers, freaks .. are reflected the obsession of their addictions. Behind this curtain of pop and fluorescent elements, we feel a certain surrender in front of this modern individualized world and focused on the utra-consumption. Exhibition from January 19th to March 9th, 2019 - Perrotin Gallery - 76, rue de Turenne - Paris 3
